I am surprised that no one has come up with the Cornish word for waffle. So, I decided to give it the literal meaning of a \”weaving-pastry.\” This is rooted in waffle\’s meaning as a pastry, but also the \”weaving\” component may be an inspiration from the proto-Indo-European root for the word waffle, which means \”to braid/weave.\”
