This is not necessarily a famous inclusion, though the rationale behind the name change is interesting enough.

Eric Welch (not Anakin Skywalker)

He grew up in foster homes and orphanages. When he grew up, he started working as a handyman and in security. He also became a Marine.

As for other struggles he faced, he was diagnosed with leukemia and underwent chemotherapy many times, which led to a bone-marrow transplant. He also trained with 50-90 lb. of chains in order to become a runner.

Darth Vader

After watching Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, he became inspired by the ascent of Darth Vader, so he legally changed his name to this iconic character. Of course, he also had to sign special documentation, acknowledging that he will not use this name for commercial purposes, since Darth Vader is copyrighted property.

He changed his name because he felt no attachment to the name he was born with. Interestingly, even though his 20-year-old daughter has partaken in the same Tough Mudder obstacle courses, she showed no interest in being called Alexis Vader.

The rationale behind the name change is because he noted how Darth Vader always carried himself with an aura of toughness. He found this empowering because he endured leukemia treatment and served as a Marine.
