Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti (1938-1970s)
He was born to an upper-middle-class Nigerian family to an Anglican minister and a suffragist in what is today Ogun State.
He got introduced to music while in the Trinity College of Music, and eventually created the music style called Afrobeat.

Kuti personally interpreted his middle name to mean \”I will be the master of my own destiny and will decide when it is time for death to take me.\”
He would come into conflict with the military government.
