He was born to Albanian parents in the Sanjak of Berat in Albania. He would enter into the Sultan\’s service as a kitchen boy until he found his station in imperial treasury and the offices of the palace chamberlains. He was considered so difficult to work with, he was conscripted as a cavalry soldier.
Koprulu Mehmed Pasha (?-1661)
He would eventually rise the ranks until he became a Pasha.
