Current Activity

It is clear why seven presidents and Buffalo Bill himself would frequent this stretch of land, since the landscape is quite soothing. The dunes push back against severe storms; while the 38-acre beach itself is typically for sunny days. For busy times, it can accommodate tourists with its selection of snack bars, eating shelters, volleyball courts, a skateplex, and a playground called Tony\\\’s Place–dedicated to former Board of Recreation Commissioners Vice-Chairman Dr. Anthony Musella. For slow times, this site is typically for quite walks along those 38 acres.

The dunes and the ocean house endangered species. The birds that can typically be seen are sea ducks, gannets, loons, and gulls; while flight season has razorbills, surfs, black scoters, and long-tailed ducks.
