Etymology

Greek: diktio-: net

+

English: scholastic: relating to school

Definition

adj. Relating to MOOC\’s

Example

Normally, the field of SEO Marketing would be dictioscholastic, since enrolling in a MOOC about it would be more convenient than taking a college course in it.

Equivalent

MOOC

Commentary

Basically, this applies to MOOC\’s, or massive open online course. Since they are about to become more relevant to the educational field, then it would be suitable to encapsulate this phenomenon in a new word.

Also, since the Greek word for net is also used to refer to the internet, it would stand to reason to use that word as an English prefix to refer to the internet as well. As for scholastic, it was used to refer to an ancient school of thought which have a different contextual meaning than in the modern era.
