Like many words in the English language, the use of contraction makes these two words into a unique new one. In this case, it became a unique name. This resembles the nautical term fo’c’sle which comes from the word forecastle.

Unless you’re a celebrity, the art of naming really has been lost among us these days. That is why I decided to include the New Unique Name post series on Brilafamo.
